Is Christianity a Non-Western Religion? This is the theme of a seminar series that launched at Trinity Western University last night. Dr. Gordon Nickel from ACTS Seminaries, which is on the TWU campus, spoke on “Authentic Engagement: Christians meet the Muslim conquerors. Christianity and Islam, 8th to 12th Centuries.” There will be a new lecture almost every Thursday evening through the end of March. See here for a schedule.
Two that caught my attention are February 21 at 7:00pm, when Dr. Joyce Chan from Carey Hall will speak on “Christianity in China 7th to 19th centuries” and March 20, at 6pm when Dr. Dan Sanford from TWU will speak on “Christianity in modern China.”
