Who needs holidays?

Well I do actually. I spent 10 days driving across Western Canada with my wife and some friends. We spent a night in Kamloops with Ed and Hannah and then over to Lake Louis for one night in the camp ground. The next day we moved on to Calgary for two nights with James and Yvonne. We spent the day at the Calgary zoo. There’s a lot to explore and if you download the two for one coupon from Calgary Attractions it’s a deal you can’t pass up. We drove from Calgary to Regina the next day, stopping in Caronport long enough to say hi to Kevin and Mel and family. Several busy days in Regina involved a lot of eating, a wedding reception, and even a visit to Mega Munch the day before his birthday! Next we headed up to Weekes, a small town in the centre of Saskatchewan. In the afternoon we visited the Youngs and went horse back riding. We spent the night at Clemenceau with Reg and Bev where we had a great potluck supper and slept like babies.
This was followed by a quick jaunt to Edmonton where we spent two nights with Rob and Barb. Of course we visited West Edmonton Mall, once the world’s largest. The amusement park provided lots of fun and we even had bubble tea. Then we headed for home via Jasper and arrived just in time for supper. All in all a great trip and I was very impressed with the car – a Suzuki Areo which has been discontinued but deserves praise for being roomy and comfortable on a long trip and pretty good on gas as well.
I’m back at work now but will be changing jobs in September. More on that in a week’s time. To all a good night.

  1. It’s been a week, you’ve got me on the edge of my seat, I can’t wait any longer.

  2. Don’t explode! I will let you all know on Tuesday – if I have time with all my new job responsibilities. BTW if anyone needs parts at Lordco you have better head over there by tomorrow.
